Kenny Rogers, who is retiring from live performance next year, invited a group of local kids to join him for his potential final area show at the Valley Forge Casino on Friday.

Marlee Welgoss, Kayleigh Bender, Cosmo Thompson, Benjamin Hoyt, and Carly Silberman of the Main Line School of Rock jammed out with Rogers' singing partner Linda for "I Believe in Santa Claus," "Painting the Town," and "Silent Night. " Phoenixville High School's Vocal Fusion -- including Angelica Easterling, Baila Galvan, Will Chile, Sophie Biesecker, Claire You, Kara Jones, Sally Wetherell, Eric Perez -- sang "Go Tell It On The Mountain," "The Light," and "Joy To The World" with Rogers.

Rogers was at Valley Forge promoting his sixth seasonal LP, Once Again Its Christmas. Roger's secret to success is to keep his Christmas traditional: "The record company told me something I never realized: When someone buys a Christmas album, if they don't see songs they know and love, they won't buy it," Rogers told the Inquirer.
