Richard Curtis is heading back to Live with Kelly next week.

The Souderton Area High School teacher will return to the show for a third time starting Monday, Dec. 12, after which he will helm the co-host chair through Wednesday, Dec. 14. Following his departure, CNN commentator Van Jones will take over, followed by Mark Consuelos, host Kelly Ripa's husband and current star of Fox's Pitch.

Curtis' is becoming a regular presence on Live with Kelly. He last co-hosted the popular morning show in November, when guest actress Sarah Jessica Parker told Curtis that it seemed like he had "been secretly doing talk shows for the last 10 years," which Curtis called "the nicest compliment."

Curtis, a Perkasie resident, originally got his shot to co-host the first time around following a national contest. Curtis beat out 20 finalists from around the country, including two people from the Philadelphia area.

Ripa and co. have yet to nail down a permanent replacement for former co-host Michael Strahan, who departed from the show to join Good Morning America earlier this year. Most recently, Ripa called CNN anchor Anderson Cooper the "one that got away" when it comes to her co-host chair.
