There's no replacing Sheena Parveen, but soon, NBC10 will fill the meteorologist's spot with a new hire out of Chicago.

Parveen left the station after five years last month for a position at Washington, D.C.'s NBC4. Her departure was one of several high profile exits in Philadelphia TV news in 2016.

Parveen's replacement at NBC10 is Tammie Souza, a Pittsburgh native and Emmy-winning meteorologist currently at Fox32 in Chicago. Souza announced her move to NBC10 in a Facebook posting on Thursday, calling the gig her "dream job":

"I have accepted a dream job as a meteorologist on NBC10 in Philadelphia," Souza wrote Thursday. "This means I will be leaving the FOX family and re-joining the NBC family."

Souza began her career as a meteorologist in 1996 at CBS12 in Chico, Calif. From there, she moved on to a gig at CBS58 in Milwaukee, and landed in Chicago in 2000 at NBC5. After a stint at 10News WTSP in Tampa, Fla., Souza returned to Chicago in 2011 for a position at Fox32, where she has worked since, according to her LinkedIn.

Souza says in her Facebook post that she will remain at Fox32 "for the next few weeks." Robert Feder, a media writer out of Chicago, reports that Souza "will sign off at the end of February."
