Jeremy Maclin, King Dunlap suffer injuries
Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin left the game with a hip pointer and tackle King Dunlap left the game with a hamstring strain.
Maclin was questionable entering the game because of a hip injury, and Sunday's injury was in the same area as last week. Maclin admitted to more pain after this week's game.
"I'm going to try to do everything I can do get out there; that's the kind of person I am," Maclin said. "But at the same time, I took a lot for me to look up and say I can't go. I want to help my team at the same time, so if I'm not out there and can't do the things I can normally do, I can't be out there. We'll see how the week goes."
With Dunlap out, Demetress Bell took first-team snaps on the offensive line. Bell, who was signed during the offseason to be the team's starting left tackle, was inactive in the season opener but has improved and was key in the Eagles' fourth-quarter comeback.
EIGHTH OFFENSIVE LINEMAN?
The Eagles only dressed seven offensive linemen on Sunday. With Kelce and Dunlap hurt, they risked the possibility of needing to move a player from a different position if another lineman suffered an injury.
"I actually went over and talked to the defensive line about that," Reid said. "I was going to pick one of those guys. I would have started with the oldest and heaviest one."
Reid might have been joking about the last part, but 31-year-old, 305-pound defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins didn't think so.
"When he came and told me at first I didn't know if he was joking or not," Jenkins said. "When you look at him, I was like, 'He's serious here.' I was like, 'Aw, man, I was just talking trash to their defensive line a second ago.' There's going to be some serious apologizing going on out there."
PHYSICAL GAME
There were multiple scuffles that broke out throughout the game. On two different occasions, the officials called offsetting personal fouls. After the Ravens' first touchdown, there appeared to be two altercations.
"You're going to have a few of those," Reid said, "You don't necessarily like those, especially when penalties are involved, but you're going to have games like this where you have two heavyweights going after each other. There's going to be a little bit of pushing and shoving, so you have to try to monitor it the best that you can."
The Eagles thought the Ravens tried provoking. Of course, the Ravens' version of what took place might be different.
"You got to be smart, but at the same time, I'm not going to let someone slap my helmet or put their hands in my face," Maclin said. "I'm a man, you know?"
