Week 7 offered a variety of delicious foods, but was a bit challenging to complete in the allotted time. Our students found the thyme in the meatloaf strong for their taste, but were all open to trying it. The crisp dessert was a hit. Students noted the sourness of the cranberries and green apples versus the strawberries used in last year's dessert. We discussed comfort food and how there are healthy alternatives to home-style favorite meals, such as the turkey in the meatloaf.
