Tortilla Soup a medley of flavors and textures

There was a lot of nibbling going on during our chopping and dicing for our soup.  Izabella Gonzalez and Samira Espinosa both wanted to eat the avocado and peppers before we could put them in the guacamole and the soup.  The soup came together quickly and the girls were surprised that the chicken broth smelled like chicken soup and they also wanted to know if they could drink it, so we talked a bit about how chicken broth could be used.    They were also very excited to see how our tortillas toasted up so nicely in the oven and had some fun using their fingers to sprinkle them lightly with salt.  There were a lot of empty bowls when we went to clean up.
