After Rutgers' big loss to Michigan over the weekend, one Ann Arbor steak house is on the hook to offer fans a deep discount as part of a college football promotion.

On Friday, a Ruth's Chris Steak House location in Ann Arbor posted a message on Facebook offering guests a percentage off their bill that would be equal to the difference in points in the most current University of Michigan football game for the remainder of the season. So, if the difference between scores was 10 points, customers would receive 10 percent off their bill.

That plan, however, backfired on Saturday, when Michigan throttled Rutgers with a final score of 78-0. The win would have resulted in a 78-percent discount for guests at Ruth's Chris Steak House in Ann Arbor, had the restaurant not clarified the deal.

In the posting, the restaurant capped the discount offer at 50 percent, and indicated that the offer doesn't include alcohol, and does not apply to groups or private dining. However, the 50 percent discount will run through Thursday.

But if you want to cash in on a cheap steak, good luck. As a result of the deal, the restaurant on Sunday wrote on Facebook that it is "full committed with reservations" through Thursday.
