Philly singles invited to find love at Clark Park Dog Bowl

Match.com and PetSmart charities are pairing up to host a doggy-themed mixer to bring pet-loving singles together while raising money to save homeless pets.

Ladies, your purse-sized teacup Yorkie may be a complete turn-off to your potential beau. That is, according to a new survey conducted by Match.com and PetSmart Charities in preparation for their upcoming event, Dog-Date Afternoon.

The dating website and the philanthropic branch of the popular pet conglomerate are pairing up to host a doggy-themed mixer to bring pet-loving singles together while raising money to save homeless pets. After all, according to the survey, 59 percent of singles think an adopted pet is the best kind.

On Sunday, Aug. 10, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m., Match.com members and all other interested Philly-area singles will converge at Clark Park Dog Bowl at 4398 Chester Ave. to enjoy training sessions and Frisbee-catching demonstrations by the Purina Pro Plan Performance Team.

Tickets are just $10 and can be purchased here. A portion of the proceeds will benefit PetSmart Charities pet adoption program.
