Philly’s traveling beer garden Parks on Tap starts back up next week, bringing new green spaces and menu items to summertime hangouts with friends.

Parks on Tap, operated by FCM Hospitality in partnership with the city’s Department of Parks and Recreation, will open on Wednesday, April 8, at the Azalea Gardens in Fairmount Park.

Each week, a new park will play host, inviting residents and tourists to spend their evening outside, surrounded by the natural sights and smells of Philly’s famous parks.

The beer garden opens from Wednesday to Friday, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday, from noon to 10 p.m.

The nightly party is free to attend, but regulators require membership to Parks on Tap to enter. Membership is free, only needs to be done once per season, and guests can sign up when they arrive at the park. Parks on Tap is wheelchair accessible, but situated on grass.

As it is a beer garden, Parks on Tap is 21+ to enter with valid government-issued ID. Children and people under 21 can attend with a parent or legal guardian. Parks on Tap is dog-friendly, so guests can bring leashed furry friends.

While picnic tables may be available depending on the location, guests should prepare to bring their own blankets and chairs. Each location will have a bathroom trailer as well.

Each park is accessible via public transportation, car, or ride-sharing app. If driving, guests are strongly encouraged not to leave any valuables in their vehicles. You can bike to the park, but bring a lock for your bike, and know that bike parking is limited in some locations.
