Karina's on East Passyunk getting a new home

Karina's days are numbered on East Passyunk Avenue, as the restaurant will make way for Brigantessa - a second restaurant from the crew from Le Virtu down the street.

In my report last week, I mentioned that a new location was being scouted for Karina's.

It's been found: 1535 S. 11th St., a storefront basically around the corner. It's a former accordion shop sandwiched between Da Vinci Ristorante and Fond.

Karina will remain open at 1520 E. Passyunk Ave. till February. The new spot, seating 30 to 35 as a BYOB, is expected to open in March.

Brigantessa is targeting July after a full-metal restoration of 1520 E. Passyunk.
