'Seal Team 666' will be an actual movie starring The Rock (duh)

It appears as though Cartman's movie-pitching "robot" AWESOM-O has been at it again because The Rock has a new movie that is actually going to play in movie theaters instead of just showing up in your Netflix queue.

It appears as though Cartman's movie-pitching computerized automatron, AWESOM-O, has been at it again because The Rock has a new movie that is actually going to play in movie theaters instead of just showing up in your Netflix queue.

Based on Weston Ochse's 2012 novel of the same name, Seal Team 666 is exactly what you think it is. The adaptation for the screen was penned by the same guy who wrote the screenplay for The Rock's recently wrapped Hercules.

Seal Team 666 is based on the 2012 novel from Bram Stoker Award-winning author Weston Ochse (which you can find here), and follows the plainly named Jack Walker (Johnson), whose SEAL training is interrupted when he is called away with a handful of other SEALS and a dog for a special ops mission where the risks are a tad more severe than bullets and landmines. The team will take on demons, killer cults, possessed people, and above all else: EVIL! As it happens, an ancient cult is "dead" set on bringing out a more monstrous force to take on not just the U.S., but the entire world.

Johnson is currently shooting the seventh installment of the Fast and Furious franchise because, box office figures. Hercules is set to hit theaters next summer and Johnson is also set to star in an HBO drama about professional athletes creatively titled, Ballers. Swole bros are about to have an awesome time at the movies.

Get pumped for ALL THE TESTOSTERONE, you guys. [Cinema Blend]
