The U.S. Navy has awarded a contract to a defense contractor to set up and manage an IT equipment warehouse in Philadelphia that will ship equipment to various Department of Defense sites around the world.

QinetiQ North America, a division of QinetiQ Group P.L.C., was awarded a five-year contract - one base year and four one-year options - with a total value of $7.2 million.

The contract covers work for a center run through the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) programs office.
