ASAP accomplishments
IN ADDITION to publishing this annual directory, ASAP has achieved the following since 2002: * Served more than 55,000 Philadelphia youth in grades 1-12 (5,000 in 2013-14).

* Served more than 55,000 Philadelphia youth in grades 1-12 (5,000 in 2013-14).
* Organized 3,692 after-school enrichment clubs (403 clubs in 2013-14).
* Recruited 1,442 club leaders (82 volunteer club leaders offering 1,346 hours in 2013-14).
* Facilitated more than 40 club leader trainings per year.
* Received the Pennsylvania Statewide Afterschool Youth Development Network's Afterschool Champion Award, given to organizations that "demonstrate over and above dedication and inspiration to the Out-of-School Time community."
* Received the Scholastic Service Award from the U.S. Chess Federation for the promotion of chess in the inner city.
* Received the 2013 Layman Award by the Philadelphia Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
* Facilitated annual chess and debate scholarship awards for high school seniors to Temple and Drexel Universities and Community College of Philadelphia.
* Held more than 25 special events and tournaments for youth annually.
* Organized and maintained a citywide after school directory as a searchable resource on ASAP's website (www.phillyasap.org) and as a feature on the city's Philly311 mobile app.
