Bravo is looking for contestants for the 16th season of its popular cooking competition show, Top Chef, and next month, they'll bring that search to Philadelphia.

The Top Chef crew will set up at Nick Elmi's recently opened Royal Boucherie (52 S. 2nd St.) on Wednesday, Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Elmi, who won season 11 of Top Chef, will be on-hand for a meet-and-greet.

The auditions, however, are by appointment online. Those looking to participate must email to make an appointment. Applications are available on the Bravo website, and require participants to include a cooking and plating video, several recent photos of themselves, a resumé, and 10 to 15 images of their plated food.

In addition to holding auditions in Philadelphia, Top Chef also will hold casting calls in San Francisco, Miami, Houston, and Nashville next month.

The current season of Top Chef, its fifteenth, premiered in December 2017. Dubbed Top Chef: Colorado, the current season features former Philadelphia chef Chris Scott, a Coatesville native who served as an executive sous chef for the Starr Restaurant Group here in Philly before heading to New York in the mid-2000s. Currently, Scott owns and operates Brooklyn Commune and Butterfunk Kitchen in New York.

Philadelphians have found success through Top Chef in the past. In addition to Elmi winning season 11 of the show, season seven saw Philly chef Kevin Sbraga take home the ultimate win.

Last year was a tough one for Sbraga, with both Sbraga and the Fat Ham closing their doors partway through 2017. However, the Top Chef winner has resurfaced locally with plans for the Fitler Club, a lifestyle club scheduled to open in spring 2019.

The location of Top Chef's sixteenth season has not yet been revealed. However, filming will reportedly begin in the spring.
