A 28-year-old man who was found shot and bleeding in a car parked on a sidewalk in Southwest Philadelphia early Tuesday has died of his wounds, police said today.

A 28-year-old man who was found shot and bleeding in a car parked on a sidewalk in Southwest Philadelphia early Tuesday has died of his wounds, police said today.

Michael Toll, of Jennifer Terrace in the Bustleton section of Northeast Philadelphia, was shot about 1:50 a.m. Tuesday at 54th and Florence Streets in Kingsessing.

He drove two blocks in his 2010 Honda before coming to halt on the sidewalk in front of 1400 South 56th Street, police said.

Officers responding to a report of a shooting found him with two bullet wounds to the torso behind the wheel of the car, police said.

Toll was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he underwent surgery, police said. He died at 11:46 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators are seeking a motive.
