Chinese business leaders to visit
WEST CHESTER Chester County will have the chance next week to network and show itself off to a delegation of about two dozen Chinese business leaders looking to develop relationships with small to midsize companies in the U.S. suburbs.
The Sino-American Regional Business Development and Culture Exchange summit hopes to enhance development and cooperation between the world's two largest economies and promote cultural awareness at the regional level. The three-day summit, which starts Monday, will introduce the delegates to business, education, and manufacturing in the county and give Chester County business leaders an opportunity to network with the Chinese delegates.
Chester County-based ABD International and the nonprofit Main Line Chinese Culture Center helped connect the county with the Chinese businesses.
"We wanted to help Chester County present their strengths - the great resources that can attract Chinese investment," said Jun Huangpu, the nonprofit's chairman of the board. Another goal is to help local businesses sell products, including financial services and agricultural and manufacturing goods, to China, he said.
The Chinese delegation also will go on a tour of downtown West Chester, Pietro Mushrooms in Kennett Square, and Longwood Gardens.
