Witnesses sought in weekend Chester shooting

Eighteen-year-old Miguel Carrion was found lying on the sidewalk at the Crosby Square Apartments in Chester at 1:08 a.m. Saturday with a gunshot wound to the head, surrounded by about 100 people. Yet, police say, no witnesses have come forward.

When Chester police officers arrived on the scene, several altercations broke out between different groups within the crowd. The scene had to be forcibly secured before paramedics could attend to Carrion.

The victim was taken to the Crozer-Chester Medical Center Trauma Unit. He was listed in critical condition.
