Eagles re-sign Thornton
Defensive end Cedric Thornton was a restricted free agent.
EAGLES DEFENSIVE end Cedric Thornton signed his 1-year restricted free agent tender yesterday. Thornton, who turns 27 in June, will make $2.356 million this season.
The Birds' 2011 draft was a disaster - of the 11 selections, only center Jason Kelce has made a continuing impact. But Thornton, signed as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Arkansas, has been a bright spot.
The Eagles still have yet to sign restricted free-agent running back Chris Polk or exclusive rights free agent Jeff Maehl.
