Thursday's South Jersey roundup: Grace Marshall nets her 1,000th point

Senior Grace Marshall scored her 1,000th point for the Haddon Township girls' basketball team on Thursday in a 64-36 win against host West Deptford.
Marshall led the Hawks with 19 points.

"She's had to carry a lot of the load for our team for our team the last few years on the offensive side," Haddon Township head coach Tommie Mulligan said. "It's her unselfishness that has allowed other players to develop on the court."

Madison Bradley scored 17 points for the visiting Hawks and Karlee Hart chipped in 13.

Gabriella Payne scored 21 points and Kelli McGroarty added 17 as Eastern topped Seneca, 66-46, at home in Olympic Conference action. Rachel Roseboro led the way for Seneca with 20 points.

Kendall Keyes and Shannon Mulroy tallied 16 points apiece to lift Lenape past visiting Washington Township, 48-36. Emily Johns scored 19 points for the visitors in the loss.
Isabel Kuzy scored 10 points as Holy Cross edged host Maple Shade, 36-33, in Burlington County League action.

Boys’ Basketball

Andrew Sims scored 21 points and Jake Topolski added 15 to lead Lenape to a 55-42 win against Olympic Conference rival Washington Township on the road. Colin Meintel led all scorers with 24 points in the loss.

Christian Burnett and Jordan Martin led Bordentown with 18 and 17 points respectively as the Scotties defeated Pennsauken, 77-54.

Craig Turner notched 18 points as host Cinnaminson topped Delran, 66-48.

Cherokee got 21 points from Tymere Bennett and 14 from Gavin Gibson as the Chiefs defeated visiting Cherry Hill East, 65-30.

Jabril Enmond tallied 25 points as Florence defeated Pitman, 61-45, at home in Burlington County League play.
