Freaky venture
LANCE LEMPERT is a Philly guy. A Northeast High grad who grew up on Tastykakes and soft pretzels. So why will he be wearing a San Francisco Giants jersey to Citizens Bank Park in late July?

Glad you asked.
Lempert won a chance to meet Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum after entering a video in a contest sponsored by Red Bull in which contestants had to imitate the "Freak's" unorthodox pitching style.
Lempert, who was a Daily News honorable mention in 2009, met with Lincecum in a 45-minute session in Scottsdale, Ariz., on March 2.
"He was great," Lempert said. "He gave me some tips on my mechanics and stuff. I wasn't nervous because he seemed like a regular guy, just like me."
Lempert wasn't satisfied with just imitating Lincecum's pitching style. He imitated his hairstyle, too, donning a long black wig under his cap. That got a chuckle out of the Giants ace.
On July 22, the Giants will visit the Phillies, and Lempert said he will be there.
"I'll be wearing my specially-made Giants shirt with "Lancecum" on the back," Lempert said. "And my Phillies hat."
