The Sixers and Flyers both played their way into the playoffs, the Phillies struggled against the Cubs, and more of the week’s best sports photos.

Each Friday, Inquirer photo editors pick the best sports images from the last seven days. And this week was a good one for Philly sports — well, except for the Phillies. Both the Sixers, via the Play-In Tournament, and the Flyers, via a shootout win in their penultimate game, locked up playoff berths. For the Flyers, it’s a renewal of a cross-state rivalry with the Pittsburgh Penguins. For the Sixers, it’s a date with the vaunted Boston Celtics, a team the Sixers haven’t beaten in a postseason series since Dr. J was roaming the Spectrum.
And then there are the Phillies, who saw their early-season struggles continue as they dropped series to the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Chicago Cubs — both at home — and allowed 28 runs in three games against Chicago. But we’ll start with the positive …
