American Hats fighting to stay open through a pandemic

Rev. Georgiette Morgan-Thomas, owner of American Hats, strives to keep her business open and employees working through a pandemic. She is still waiting on Pa. state aid for her manufacturing facility in North Philadelphia. She employs 12 workers and with the hoped-for $20,000 grant could likely keep them all working. Without the grant, she’ll furlough or have to fire some.
