What I Do

I’m the planning and coverage editor for features, helping shape coverage, plan big projects, and strengthen collaboration across the newsroom. I help steer our weekend franchises, special section issues, and long-term feature plans — the big, ambitious stuff that keeps readers coming back.

My Background

Before this, I led our Service Journalism team, which taught me the power of clear, useful storytelling and how to meet readers where they are. I've also worked as a digital producer at The Inquirer and as a reporter for the USA Today Network, where I covered politics, criminal justice, higher ed, and breaking news. My reporting has taken me from inside courtrooms to school board meetings, and includes deep dives on fraternity hazing, pandemic-era evictions, student deaths, and the tensions shaping local communities.

I teach journalism as an adjunct lecturer for Penn State’s College of Communications and have appeared on national TV to discuss hazing and accountability in Greek life. I graduated from Penn State with degrees in print and digital journalism and political science. I live in Northeast Philly with my husband, and when we’re not working, we’re probably watching — or yelling at — a Phillies game.
