Small fire damages Boardwalk in Atlantic City
The fire under the Boardwalk at New Jersey Avenue was reported around 5:40 p.m. and placed under conrtol about 50 minutes later.

A debris fire on a frigid Friday evening damaged a small section of the Atlantic City Boardwalk, officials said.
The fire was spotted around 5:40 p.m. under the Boardwalk at New Jersey Avenue by Atlantic City police officers.
The Atlantic City Fire Department responded and was able to place the blaze under control around 6:30 p.m.
Atlantic City officials said one firefighter was treated for a minor injury.
Officials said the burnt section of the Boardwalk will need to be replaced.
