Christie to reimburse state for chopper use
Gov. Christie and the State Republican Committee are reimbursing the state for personal use of a state police helicopter, the Associated Press is reporting this hour.
That includes not just one chopper trip on Tuesday to his son's baseball game, as has been reported nationwide -- but a second trip, apparently last week, which had not been reported.
A Christie spokeswoman says Christie has paid $2,251 -- and the state committee has paid $919 -- to cover the costs of the trips, according to the AP. This is a reversal from yesterday, when Christie's people said the gov would not reimburse the state.
I'm in a bustling room at Saint Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ., right now, where Christie is expected to address the press momentarily. We'll know more about Choptergate at that point. Suggestions on questions?
