Eagles, Maclin reach deal
First-round pick Jeremy Maclin has agreed to terms on a 5-year deal with the Eagles, a source close to the situation said late tonight.
The deal calls for a total of $15.5 million with $9.5 million guaranteed, the source said.
The Eagles confirmed the signing with a press release shortly after 11:30.
Denver's signing of 18th overall pick Robert Ayers, the player taken just before Maclin, presumably helped break the logjam.
Maclin, from Missouri, was the lowest-picked first rounder who remained unsigned before the deal was completed; after corner Malcom Jenkins, drafted 14th by the Saints and still unsigned, every other first-rounder through 32 is under contract.
