Laws Inactive, Graham Playing for Birds
Defensive tackle Trevor Laws, who was downgraded to questionable Saturday with an ankle injury, is indeed inactive for today's matchup with the New York Jets, the Eagles announced.
In a mild surprise, subtracting Laws didn't mean adding rookie defensive tackle Cedric Thornton, who was brought up from the practice squad this week. But it did mean that defensive end Brandon Graham is active again, as is veteran DE Juqua Parker, who was inactive last week against Miami.
Graham had said during the week that he thought he might not get another chance to play until next season, as he tries to come back from microfracture surgery.
Also inactive are DE Darryl Tapp (ribs), OT Winston Justice, G Julian Vandervelde, CB Brandon Hughes, and LB Greg Lloyd.
Stay tuned for more.
