Westbrook's future; Garcia to UFL

Former Eagles running back Brian Westbrook is set to decide by Monday on which team he will play for this season, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

The suitors that he has visited are St. Louis, Washington and Denver. Green Bay had also expressed interest at one point. Redskins coach Mike Shanahan has said since the spring that the Redskins have had an offer out to Westbrook.

Whether he joins one of those teams or another team that has yet to be identified is not clear.

Former Eagles quarterback Jeff Garcia is hoping to continue his pro football career with the Omaha Nighthawks of the UFL.

"I was hoping to get back into the NFL this year," Garcia told the San Francisco Chronicle. "We had teams that expressed interest, but nobody wanted to fully commit."

Garcia, 40, spent two games with the Eagles last season when Donovan McNabb was hurt in the season opener and served as a backup to Kevin Kolb.

The UFL has yet to announce the signing, although once Garcia signs he would not be eligible to return to the NFL until November.

The Eagles have announced the broadcast team for the preseason games that will be aired by the Eagles Television Network on 6ABC. Don Tollefson will handle the play-by-play, along with Hugh Douglas and Charley Casserly in the booth. Jamie Apody will be the sideline reporter.

The network will air the game tomorrow night against Jacksonville, as well as games at Kansas City on Aug. 27 and against the Jets on Sept. 2. The game at Cincinnati at Aug. 20 will air on Fox.

After the flap at Eagles training camp yesterday with a fan wearing a Donovan McNabb Redskins jersey, Washington GM Bruce Allen was asked if a fan would be asked to remove a Jason Campbell Raiders jersey at Redskins camp.

"No, no," Allen told ESPN 980, according to the Washington Post. "I bet it wasn't Andy. I bet it was someone blaming Andy for it. The great thing about our fans, somebody came with an Eagles McNabb jersey the training camp. I saw the person, and the burgundy and gold fans let them know that they didn't appreciate it."
