Sylvester Stallone took an extensive trip down memory lane earlier this week, sharing to Instagram a number of behind-the-scenes photos from the filming of the original Rocky movie.

Stallone, of course, was recently nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in Creed — which may explain the actor's nostalgic social media jaunt. After all, the only other Oscar nomination that Stallone has had — one for Best Actor — came in 1977 as a result of the 1976 original. The film itself also won Best Picture that year.

Last month, Stallone, 69, also took home a Golden Globe for best supporting actor, and received a standing ovation at the awards ceremony. In his acceptance speech, he thanked Rocky Balboa for "being the best friend I ever had."
