Try 25 East Passyunk restaurants at Flavors of the Avenue

Twenty five East Passyunk Avenue restaurants will gather Sunday, April 24 for Flavors of the Avenue, one of South Philadelphia's largest outdoor food and drink festivals.
This will also be a chance to sample wares from the new Malaysian restaurant Saté Kampar and to get an advance taste of the Filipino fare from Perla, opening this spring next door to Fond at 11th and Tasker Streets.
Among the menu highlights:
• Ippolito's: mahi-mahi ceviche with coconut milk (VIP); Crab Cake Sliders and Potato Salad
• Le Virtu: porchetta-filled fried olives
• Saté Kampar: Achat (Pickled Vegetables with Macadamia Nuts and Peanuts)
• Bing Bing Dim Sum: BBQ Pork Egg Roll
• Perla: Mango Curd with Crusted Almonds
• Laurel: Caramelized White Chocolate Pudding with Chocolate Cake and Dehydrated Berries
• Will BYOB: Chilled Corn Bisque with Coconut and Puffed Wild Ric
Sponsored by the East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District, Flavors of the Avenue runs from noon to 4 p.m. along East Passyunk Avenue between Morris and Tasker Streets. It happens rain or shine.
Dozens of vendors will vend and live music will play all afternoon, and the April Showers Craft Show hosted by Crafty Balboa at the Singing Fountain.
New this year: East Passyunk Avenue shops, boutiques, and businesses will participate in Style Row, on the 1700 block of East Passyunk Avenue, with hourly fashion shows at 3, 4, and 5 p.m. Style Row will also feature a sidewalk sale with wares from Avenue businesses.
Avenue restaurants will be serving specially priced Flavors cocktails on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Flavors weekend.
VIP and general admission tickets are still available, though they are going quickly. VIP tickets are $75, and include access to the food tent from noon to 4 p.m.
General admission tickets are $50, and include food tent access from 1 to 4 p.m. Both tickets include food tastings and unlimited Milagro and Sailor Jerry cocktails, red and white wine from the E&J Gallo Family, and Victory and Troegs craft beer. VIP tickets also include specialty Hendricks, Monkey Shoulder and Drambuie cocktails; Pollyodd liqueurs; and premium wine and beer served in the private VIP tent for the duration of the event.
