Iron Hill gets spellbound with Harry Potter-themed brews

Chestnut Hill’s annual Harry Potter Festival returns Friday, Oct. 16, and in celebration, Iron Hill Brewery’s cauldron whipped up some limited-edition brews.

Chestnut Hill's annual Harry Potter Festival returns Friday, Oct. 16, and in celebration, Iron Hill Brewery's (8400 Germantown Ave.) cauldron whipped up some limited-edition brews.

The pub will serve Dumbledore's Dubbel, a sweet Belgian ale; and Voldermort's Wrath, a West-Coast style IPA with an intense bitter hop flavor.

In addition to the limited brews, a Harry Potter-themed menu will be served for those hungry wizards. Items include:

  1. Aunt Petunia's Mulligatawny Soup

  2. Slytherin Smoky Pumpkin Salad

  3. Ron's Corned Beef Toasts

  4. Hogwart's Express Pumpkin Pastry

  5. Dumbledore's Cauldron Beef Stew

  6. Butterbeer-Braised Pork Loin

  7. Pan-Seared Chinese Fireball (salmon)

  8. Mrs. Weasley's English Toffee Crumble

For the non-beer drinker: Butterbeer and autumn-themed mixed drinks will be available.

All offerings above begin at 5 and go until 11 p.m.
