Herremans, Jenkins injured

The Eagles came out of their 26-10 win over the Dolphins relatively intact, but there were several significant injuries, albeit minor ones.

Tackle Todd Herremans has an ankle sprain, defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins has a groin strain, defensive end Darryl Tapp has a broken rib and running back Ronnie Brown has a hand strain.

Eagles coach Andy Reid said that Herremans' and Jenkins' injuries will be monitored this week and that their availability for Sunday's game against the New York Jets was undetermined. If Herremans can't go Winston Justice, who didn't dress against Miami, is the backup at right tackle on the depth chart.

Tapp should miss at least a game with his injury.

Jeremy Maclin left Sunday's game early after his injured hamstring started acting up. Reid said that Maclin was "feeling OK today." His status for the Jets remains up in the air, however.

Wide receiver Steve Smith did not dress for the first time this season because his knee had flared up on the flight to Florida, Reid said. He underwent an MRI on Monday and it revealed a bone bruise. It's the same knee he had microfracture knee surgery on last December.

Michael Vick, who missed the previous three games with broken ribs, was "sore but OK" the day after the game, Reid said.

OTHER NOTES

-- Several readers blasted FOX broadcaster Tim Ryan for mispronouncing Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg's name. Actually, his pronunciation -- "Morn-HEN-weg" -- was correct. Ryan grew up in the Northern California area with the Mornhinwegs. Over the years, Marty allowed people to pronounce it the wrong way -- "Morn-ing-weg" -- after constantly correcting them became cumbersome.

-- Former Eagles fullback Leonard Weaver was spotted at the NovaCare Complex. Weaver, who suffered a gruesome knee injury last season, was cut by the Eagles in August after he failed a physical.
