Bradley: calf injury just a cramp
Eagles linebacker Stewart Bradley wasn't on the field Thursday after limping out of practice Wednesday, but he seemed to be moving fine as he pushed a wheelbarrow of wet cement at the Eagles' annual playground building event, this one held at the John Wister School.
"It just cramped up, really," Bradley said, adding that he was probably dehydrated.
Bradley, who is returning from a torn anterior cruciate ligament, wore a sleeve over his left calf. A pad or wrap was visible underneath as well. Bradley didn't seem concerned about the injury - described by the team as a "tweak" - noting that it's only June, months before the season.
Coach Andy Reid downplayed any worries about the nicks and more serious injuries that have hit this week. Except for Marlin Jackson's ruptured Achilles tendon, which will likely end his season, Reid said "I'm not real concerned," about injuries.
His comments came after Bradley, LeSean McCoy (tweaked ankle, according to the team), Ellis Hobbs (recovering from neck surgery) and Todd Herremans (foot) sat out practice. Center Jamaal Jackson is also out as he recovers from an knee injury sustained late last season. Still, training camp is more than a month away, let alone real games.
