Celek will dress; Still some snow at the Linc
Brent Celek will dress for today's game against the 49ers. The tight end was listed as questionable on Friday because of back spasms, but he is apparently healthy enough to play. Both Celek and Eagles coach Andy Reid said he would go, so there.
In light of Celek's condition, the Eagles activated only two tight ends: Celek and Alex Smith. They recently promoted Martin Rucker from the practice squad, but he was listed as inactive. The Eagles' other inactives are: WR Jeremy Maclin (foot), RB Brian Westbrook (concussion), CB Geoffrey Pope, G Stacy Andrews, G Mike McGlynn and DT Trevor Laws.
Kevin Kolb is the emergency third quarterback.
The field at the Linc looks to be in great shape considering all the snow the city received yesterday and last night. There is still a considerable amount of snow in certain parts of the seating areas. There's still a little time to shovel it up, but if it doesn't go there could be some snowball throwing.
Kickoff is set for 4:15 p.m.
