EAGLES CONTROL THEIR OWN FATE

The Eagles will know when they take the field in 15 minutes for their game against the Washington Redskins that they are in control of their own fate, thanks to San Diego's 41-24 win over Jeff Garcia and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Beat the Redskins today and the Dallas Cowboys a week from today and they are playoff bound for the seventh time in coach Andy Reid's 10 seasons as the head coach.

Should Atlanta lose this afternoon to the Minnesota Vikings, the Eagles will have a chance to move up to the fifth seed in the NFC, which would mean a wildcard playoff game against the freefalling Arizona Cardinals, who are being crushed today by the New England Patriots.

The Eagles will play the Redskins today with Todd Herremans at left guard. Herremans had been questionable after suffering a sprained ankle Thursday in practice. Kevin Curtis (strained calf muscle) will not play and Reggie Brown, after being benched the previous two games, will start at wide receiver.
