Foles fined $10K for cut block
Nick Foles was fine $10,000 by the NFL office for the peel-back cut block he delivered in Sunday's loss to the Vikings, according to a league source.
Foles' block on Vikings linebacker Erin Henderson nullified a DeSean Jackson touchdown and drew a 15-yard penalty. The Eagles ran a double reverse on fourth down and 1 inside the Vikings 20 and the Eagles wide receiver waltzed into the end zone untouched.
In hindsight, Foles didn't need to block Henderson. Jackson was already by him by the time of the block. Both Foles and coach Chip Kelly conceded that it was the correct call.
No word on if Foles agreed with the fine. The Eagles have no media access on Fridays.
