Herremans: "All is well"

Todd Herremans missed practice for the third straight day and is in Charlotte visiting with a noted foot specialist, according to the Eagles.

"Just a checkup," Herremans wrote on his Twitter account. "Making sure everything looks good."

Later in the day he added: Just "got back to Philly. All is well ..."

The team said its starting left guard has a sore foot. It's the same foot he had surgery on last August and that caused him to miss the first five games of the season. The surgery was performed in Philadelphia.

Herremans is visting with Dr. Robert Anderson, who has worked on various other NFL players. A message left with Herreman's agent, Joe Linta, was not immediately returned.

"He's OK -- from what I understand," Eagles coach Andy Reid said while taking a break from painting during the Eagles YPA Playground Build in Germantown. "He went down there to have the doctors check it out to see if everything was OK. I think the doctors are going to OK him."

The Eagles are also missing linebacker Stewart Bradley, who left practice early yesterday with a "tweaked" left calf, and running back LeSean McCoy, who was looked at by Eagles trainers toward the end of yesterday's practice. The Eagles said that McCoy tweaked his ankle and that Bradley is resting his injury.

Bradley was wearing a sleeve on his calf during the playground build. He said it was cramps. McCoy said that he hoped to get back on the field as soon as possible.

"They're minor things," Reid said.

Cornerback Ellis Hobbs (neck) was also given the day off. Guard Fenuki Tupou sat out practice with a chest injury.

Nearly every member of the Eagles organization was on hand for the playground build at Wister Elementary School -- from owners Jeffrey and Christina Lurie all the way down to the interns.

It was the 14th annual event in which the Eagles help renovate a school's playground in an impoverished section of the city. Jeffrey Lurie recalled a few years back when there was actual gunfire that sailed over the heads of the team during a build.

Lurie and his wife, who had been at the school since early in the morning, helped paint a mural, along with Reid, team president Joe Banner and many players and coaches. Some players did some actualy heavy lifting, carting dirt and mulch from one location to another. Others played with the students, including general manager Howie Roseman, who had a football catch with some boys.
