Mikell leaves practice with knee "tweak"
Eagles' safety Quintin Mikell limped out of practice today with a "tweaked" knee, according to the team.
The team did not detail the severity of the injury, though Mikell was seen walking, with a limp, when he got hurt.
The Eagles were practicing in their indoor facility due to the afternoon rain, on the same field where safety Marlin Jackson ruptured his Achilles tendon last week. With Jackson out, Mikell is the only safety on the roster with significant experience at the position.
The team held linebacker Omar Gaither out of practice to avoid stress on his foot as the team practiced on the harder indoor turf. Gaither, who is recovering from a Lisfranc foot sprain that required surgery last year, said earlier this week he felt his foot was improving and he hoped to participate Thursday in team drills.
Wide receiver Riley Cooper sat out practice with a hamstring spasm. Receiver Jeremy Maclin, who sat out Tuesday with a "tight" hamstring was back in action today.
Others who have been out with injuries - Stewart Bradley, LeSean McCoy, Fenuki Tupou, Victor Abiamiri and Jamaal Jackson - also did not participate.
As expected, DeSean Jackson and Asante Samuel remained absent.
