Myers surgery set for Thursday

A quick update on Brett Myers. . .

The righthander will undergo his surgery on Thursday in New York under hip specialist Dr. Bryan Kelly.

No official timetable for recovery has been set, although Myers had previously been told he could return to competition in three to four months. His season is likely over, although a late-September or October return is a faint possibility.
