Phillies going with regulars in exhibition finale
The Phillies are going with their likely opening day lineup in today's 1:05 p.m. exhibition final against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Citizens Bank Park.
In addition, David Buchanan, who is expected to be the No. 3 pitcher, will get the start. Manager Ryne Sandberg said on Friday that he wouldn't commit to Ben Revere being his leadoff hitter every game at this point, but Revere, who hit a walk-off two-run homer in Friday's 7-5 win, is batting first.
A year ago there was worry about Chase Utley because he had a poor spring, batting .217 with no home runs and three RBIs. That hasn't been the case this year. Utley is batting .419 with four home runs, nine RBIs and a 1.357 OPS.
Here is the Phillies lineup
1. Ben Revere, LF
2. Odubel Herrera, CF
3. Chase Utley, 2B
4. Ryan Howard, 1B
5. Carlos Ruiz, C
6. Grady Sizemore, RF
7. Cody Asche, 3B
8. Freddy Galvis, SS
9. David Buchanan, P
