New Eagles QB Carson Wentz rescued from N.J. gas station bathroom

Talk about a rescued Eagle.

New Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz had to be freed by gas station attendants after getting trapped in a fuel stop's restroom in New Jersey.

The former North Dakota State star, selected in April with the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL draft, tweeted about his ordeal Wednesday night, praising the workers who rescued him:

Wentz didn't specifiy the gas station or its location.

His tweet, which was shared nearly 4,000 times and had recorded more than 6,000 favorites as of Thursday morning, also spurred numerous memes, jokes and other humorous responses.

Speculation in the responses centered on the New York Giants, a Giants fan or Eagles QB Sam Bradford as the culprit.
