Saying she's ready to start a new chapter in her life, Erin Wallace has closed Barren Hill Brewery & Restaurant in Lafayette Hill, which she opened in late 2013 on the longtime site of the General Lafayette Inn.

She says she has a prospective buyer, whose identity she would not disclose.

Wallace, who also owns South Philadelphia's Devil's Den and Manayunk's Old Eagle Tavern, put the place on the market in March because she and her husband/collaborator, Scott, are divorcing.

The other restaurants are unaffected, she said, adding that she has placed staff there and with other bars.

With Philly Beer Week coming up, she said, "it made sense to focus on the other two businesses now." The sale should be final in 90 days.

Barren Hill's last batches of beer will turn up at Devil's Den and Old Eagle, as well as at June 5's DeBella Dog Walk sponsored by WMGK at Green Lane Park. She also will have a presence at Spruce Street Harbor Park.
