Cruisin'

There will be two sailing restaurants out of Penn's Landing.

Philadelphia will double its complement of sailing restaurants next spring when the Philadelphia Belle starts offering lunch, brunch, dinner, and moonlight cruises from Penn's Landing.

The Philadelphia Belle -- as this paddlewheel riverboat has been rechristened -- arrived at Penn's Landing after a voyage down the Mississippi, through the Gulf of Mexico, and up the Atlantic. It now will get months of fit-out.

There will be some competition in play here.

Tom D'Amato, the Belle's vice president and general manager, previously was a VP with Entertainment Cruises, which operates the Spirit of Philadelphia, berthed just downriver.
