Tria to open on Fitler Square
It's taking the former Dmitri's at 23d and Pine Streets.
I can answer the question, "What's going into the former Dmitri's at 23d and Pine Streets?"
It's Tria, the popular wine/cheese/beer-rooted bar.
Partner Jon Myerow tells me that it will be a Tria Cafe with a full kitchen.
"The menu will be more dinner-friendly, but very recognizably Tria," Myerow says.
No weekday lunch, but there will be weekend brunch.
He said it would open by the end of 2014. "And that's literally all I know," he told me..
Jacqueline Balin of CBRE, who represented the building owner, said, "We wanted a restaurant that would have life and vitality while respecting the character of the neighborhood. Tria is a perfect fit." Veronica Blum of Mallin Panchelli Nadel Realty represented Tria.
Former owner Dmitri Chimes has Dmitri's BYOBs in Northern Liberties and Queen Village.
