Robert D. Fox has been named to the board of transit agency SEPTA. Fox is an attorney at Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox, Bala Cynwyd, and is the immediate past managing partner of the firm.
Cortendo AB, a biopharmaceutical company based in Radnor and Göteborg, Sweden, and focused on orphan endocrine disorders, has named John H. Johnson chairman and Richard Kollender a director. Johnson has served as CEO and in executive management roles at leading global organizations, including Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly & Co., ImClone, and Pfizer Inc. Kollender is chairman of Rapid Micro Biosystems and a director for Celator Pharmaceuticals and Tarsa Therapeutics.
The ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter, Ambler, has elected Danielle Mariano to its board. She is director, Bureau of School Audits, for the state Department of the Auditor General in Harrisburg.
The Stockton Rush Bartol Foundation, a Philadelphia nonprofit that supports local arts and cultural organizations, has elected the following board members: Julie Hawkins, assistant professor and director at the Drexel University Arts Administration Program; Jeri Lynn Johnson, founder and music director of the Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra; Julia Lopez, a consultant and founding member of Las Gallas Artist Collective; and Toni Shapiro-Phim, director of programs for the Philadelphia Folklore Project.
The Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians, Harrisburg, has named Nicole Davis, who practices at Chestnut Hill Family Care Associates in Philadelphia, as its 69th president.
Christine Kuhinka has been elected president of the Philadelphia chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators and will continue to serve for a second term as vice president of marketing. She is managing director of Kuhinka Communications L.L.C. and had been director, corporate communications, at Nestle Nutrition. Jill Weiskopf, marketing coordinator at CRB, is vice president, programming and promotion. Regina Biunno, communications and change management consultant at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, is vice president, outreach and partnerships.
Eileen Dickerson has been elected board chair of Communicators for Women Religious, a professional organization of personnel responsible for communications for congregations of Catholic sisters. She is development director at the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart, Yardley.
Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation, Pomona, has named Neil McPeak Jr. to its board of governors. McPeak is a financial adviser and certified financial planner practitioner with the McPeak Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors L.L.C.
Wordsworth, Philadelphia and Fort Washington, a nonprofit provider of education, behavioral health treatment, and child-welfare services to children, has named the following to its board: Tom Johnson, Horsham Township councilman and business entrepreneur, chair; Marnechia R. Alexander, recent graduate of St. Joseph's Haub School of Business, vice chair; Tammy Mojica, special-education liaison for the William Hunter & Potter-Thomas School, secretary, and Howard Levy, vice president and chief operation officer at EBL&S Property Management Inc., treasurer.
St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, Philadelphia, has named Dianne L. Semingson as chair of the board of governors and Harry G. Hayman III as vice chair. Semingson is founder and president of DLS International and succeeds Stephen Madva, former managing partner of Montgomery, McCracken, Walker, and Rhoads L.L.P. Hayman is senior vice president of Metro Bank.
Beth Morales Singh has been elected to the board of the Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania. She is a litigation associate at Ballard Spahr L.L.P., Philadelphia.
Dilworth Paxson L.L.P. partner Michael J. Tierney has been named by the World Meeting of Families - Philadelphia 2015 to serve as vice chair of the Government Outreach Committee.
