Blues’ merger plans to be posted online today

Petitions from the state's two largest health insurers about their plans to merge will be available online at 5:30 p.m. today at

The department's acting commissioner, Randy Rohrbaugh, said that the department will accept public comment about the possible consolidation of Independence Blue Cross and Highmark Inc.

Copies of the actual filings will be available for viewing by appointment at the department's regional offices in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
