Trying to win a diamond engagement ring from Safian & Rudolph could be picturesque.
The Jewelers' Row institution is asking couples to upload a photo of themselves to sayitwithSafian.com, or on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #sayitwithsafian. Lovers can enter photos taken anywhere, but Safian & Rudolph would love for them to sit on the You & Me bench outside its store at 701 Sansom St.
Entrants have until Dec. 3 to get their photos up and their votes lined up. That means family and friends need to log on to sayitwithSafian.com, and vote. The 10 contestants with the most votes will qualify to win the ring — a one-carat round diamond set in a similarly blinged-out halo, valued at $5,000 and designed by Scott Kay.
From that batch of 10 hopefuls, Safian & Rudolph owners Hy and Rich Goldberg will narrow the choices down to three using the subjective criteria of charm, attitude and sparkle in the eye. Those finalists will meet at the You & Me Bench on Dec. 14 and a winner will be announced.
