Tattle: Bradley Cooper issues Taylor-made rejection
TAYLOR SWIFT will never get to write a breakup song about Bradley Cooper. The Rydal boy rebuffed her before she had the chance.

TAYLOR SWIFT will never get to write a breakup song about Bradley Cooper. The Rydal boy rebuffed her before she had the chance.
Swift asked best gal pal, Jennifer Lawrence, who starred with Cooper in the Delco-set "Silver Linings Playbook," to hook her up with the recently Oscar-nominated actor, according to RadarOnline.
But Cooper, ever the classy one, turned down the offer because the 23-year-old Swift is far too young for him. Cooper turned 38 this month.
Recently, Swift has opted for younger men, including One Direction singer Harry Styles and Conor Kennedy, both 18. But she's gone older in the past, dating Jake Gyllenhaal, nine years Swift's senior, and John Mayer, who is 12 years older than she is.
The age difference doesn't even account for the baggage that comes with courting Swift. "[H]er reputation precedes her. Bradley is very wary of dating someone who is a bit of a serial dater like Taylor," a source told RadarOnline.
Swift may love to fall in love, but anonymous sources report that Styles dumped her because she was a tad on the prude side.
Like Swift, Cooper is single, after splitting with the more age-appropriate Zoe Saldana earlier this month.
Cooper isn't jumping into a new relationship any time soon. At last week's Critics' Choice Awards, he revealed that his Oscar night date would be his mom. "One night, when I started the profession, [his mom said] 'If you ever [get nominated], I am the date,' " Cooper said. He's now making good on his word.
Cooper's co-star, Lawrence, who recently broke up with boy toy/"X-Men: First Class" co-star Nicholas Hoult, is also bringing her parents to the big night.
But Saldana isn't crying because she won't be Cooper's arm candy on the big night. Saldana's BFF, Gabrielle Union, told People that Saldana, whom Union affectionately calls Cha-Cha, is "awesome" post-Cooper split.
Garber's gay
Victor Garber, who portrayed Jennifer Garner's papa, Jack Bristow, on "Alias" and the Canadian ambassador in the Golden Globe-winning "Argo," officially came out of the closet Tuesday. Sort of.
Why sort of? Because he was never all that in the closet to begin with.
"I don't really talk about it, but everybody knows," Garber told Greg Hernandez, of the blog Greg in Hollywood. E! later confirmed the news.
This isn't the first time that Garber has acknowledged his sexuality. Garber told a magazine in his native Canada, "My companion Rainer Andreesen and I have been together almost 13 years in Greenwich Village. We both love New York."
Andreesen, reports People, is a model and artist. The couple attended the Golden Globes together. For the record, Andreesen is smokin' hot in that rugged, older man sort of way.
Go 'head, Garber!
TV bits
* Songwriter/"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss is engaged to line producer Todd Tucker. Burruss is most famous for her reality-TV gig, where she met Tucker in 2011, but she's also written some of the biggest pop hits of the last decade, including TLC's "No Scrubs," Destiny's Child's "Bills, Bills, Bills" and Pink's "There You Go."
She's slated to star in her own reality vehicle, "Kandi's Factory," on which she looks for the next big pop star.
* Jessica Simpson has landed a gig at NBC. The Peacock is going ahead with a pilot based on Simpson's life, fostered by "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" mastermind Nick Bakay. This isn't Simpson's first foray into television. She starred in the career-making "The Newlyweds," with then-husband Nick Lachey, and in a 2004 ABC pilot that never made it to air in which she played a newscaster. We assume that filming won't begin until Simpson, who is pregnant with her second child, gives birth.
* AMC has officially decided to revive murder-mystery "The Killing" for a third season after canceling it last year. Salon TV critic Willa Paskin encapsulated the news about the twisty-turny show the best when she tweeted, "The Killing is coming back for a third season. So previous cancellation was just a red herring?"
