Ten-hut! Navy Yard is now a food truck hub

Seven trucks are gathering there on Thursdays.

Philly's food truck scene is expanding once again.

The Navy Yard - where 10,000 people work - now offers a weekly venue for seven trucks at the Marine Parade Grounds (Broad Street and Intrepid Avenue.)

The LTL (Lunch Truck Lineup) was offered last year as a trial, and folks said they liked it PDQ.

Truck day is Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the lineup and menus are available on Facebook and Twitter.

The April 11 lineup is Chef Johnny Bravo's, Cupcake Carnivale, Gigi & Big, Ka'Chi Truck, Pitruco Pizza, Sum Pig, and Vernalicious. The Navy Yard also is starting a CSA program with Greensgrow Farm, and reps will be available to explain the program,.

Manayunk's StrEAT Festival is Saturday, April 13 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with 30 - count 'em - 30 food trucks along Main Street. Info is here.
