Authorities yesterday released new photos in the case of missing Bucks County resident Diane Corado as they awaited the signing of a governor's warrant to extradite a man accused of kidnapping her.
Kenneth Patterson, 48, is jailed in Mount Holly, Burlington County, charged with kidnapping and assault, but is fighting extradition to Bucks County to face those charges and isn't cooperating with police on locating Corado, his ex-girlfriend.
"We have serious concerns, obviously, about whether she's dead or alive," First Assistant Bucks County District Attorney Michelle Henry said at a late-afternoon news conference in Falls Township. "What we need is the public's help."
A photo released yesterday from a surveillance video shows Patterson withdrawing money from an ATM near the Cheltenham Mall about an hour after police say that he kidnapped Corado from her apartment in Levittown, beat her with a pipe and forced her into her car in the early-morning hours of Dec. 19.
The same video shows at least three cars passing the ATM, and police are hoping that the drivers can offer some help.
Anyone with information is asked to call Falls Township Police at 215-949-9117 or Bucks County detectives at 215-348-6354.
